Seminars
The Connecting Somerset Technology for Business Programme is running 5 introductory ICT seminars around the county. These seminars are designed to give a quick and simple overview of Information & Communications Technology through a series of "soundbites" presented by the Technology Partners. The seminars are followed by a series of more in-depth 2 hour workshops on each topic. These are the topics under discussion:

How are Higher Sites involved?
Higher Sites have been a technology partner under the Technology for Business Programme since July 2007 and we are presenting the Online Marketing with SEO & PPC segment of the seminars and the follow-up workshops on this topic. We are recognised by Connecting Somerset as a premier provider of Internet services in the Somerset area.

The seminars are free and run from 4.00pm to 8.00pm with refreshments and light buffet. Please contact us if you would like to attend.
Workshops will be priced at £20 per delegate and will run at various times and dates, again with refreshments and light buffet. You do not need to attend the seminars first in order to attend the workshops, but it is more beneficial that you do as there's lots on offer. Dates and venues for workshops have not been finalised yet, but you can still register your interest by contacting us.

This three hour workshop aims to demystify SEO and give easy-to-understand practical advice for either choosing a suitable company for your online marketing, or marketing your website yourself. Topics covered will include: how search engines rank your website; dispelling common SEO myths; content-based SEO; technical SEO; understanding PPC and the bidding system; interpreting statistics and deriving meaningful marketing data from your website, and; SEO tools of the trade.
