The data centre
Our datacentre is located on the Manchester Technopark. The facility is highly secure, with 24/7 security staff, automatic gates, radar lock doors, CCTV and a sophisticated alarm system. Access is only available to authorised personnel with pre-booked appointments. Inside, the cabinet room is fully equipped with 42U rack cabinets and an under-floor air conditioning system. With 5 seperate ultra-high bandwidth connections to the internet, we can guarantee high speeds and website availability. If one of the connections fails, a backup connection takes its place.
Emergency procedures
In addition to a state-of-the-art fire alarm system, our system also caters for power outages. In these days of easily availble connectivity, space and power are the main restricting factors in a data centre. In the event of a power cut, UPS batteries will provide enough power for 8 hours continuous operation, after which a powerful diesel generator kicks in. Enough diesel fuel is kept on site for 7 days continuous generator usage.
